Cycle Poem by Philip St. Cyr

Cycle

All is the same
nothing changes
the past was once the present
the present was once the future
the future becomes past
as the present slips away
all is the same
nothing changes
from day to night
from night to day
the earth rotates in the same direction,
in the same way
as do the arms of the clock
the seasons change in the same order
winter, spring, summmer, fall
all is the same
nothing changes
more people are involved
the divorce rate increases
babies are born daily
people die simutaneously
new cures are devoloping
but more disease is spreading
all is the same
nothing changes
the earth continues to steadily decline
the ozone gradually depletes
Humanity continues in corruption
animals eventually become exctinct
more technological advancements
wars continue to increase
the end of time is on the brink
all is the same
nothing changes...But time
