Fallen Rain Poem by Philip St. Cyr

Fallen Rain

As raindrops, his tears descended
my face glistened with them
But they were not visible to the eyes of others
A blurred vision was his only view
His eyes were bloodshot
although wearing a disheartening expression,
which remained hidden from note
his tears were camouflaged above the surface,
But underneath, his tears continued to flow
They poured out as a river, flowing from his heart
Yet above the surface, they were still hidden
They continued to flow, until there were no more;
his heart had died,
along with the tears that had washed away.
