D-Day Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

D-Day

D-Day

Don't go far; I hear, I can feel
You're here; they're marching

Thank you, is this for me?

Yes I am a soldier and savior
World War Two, Normandy

One of many Soviets, USSR
I'm Tajik

Around me brothers
Turkmen to Uzbek, Azeri
Georgian, Moldovan
And Russian and Ukraine

Do not go brother; my teammate

Don't tell me world is bad
Loyalty and respect are dead gone
Don't tell me we're ignored.
