Daddy, I'M A Whiz! Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Daddy, I'M A Whiz!

“Don’t do anything to ruin this son,
She’s as precious as precious can be! ”
Those were words my father said,
At my wedding jubilee!

I thought it odd he thinks I would!
Did he not think he raised me right?
Today those words still echo,
Many years since he left this life!

I agree she is an angel,
To put up with this devil, me!
But daddy it was the Grace Of God,
That He sent me this angel, you see?

Precious, a word used for treasure!
And that my darling is!
Daddy I hope you are now looking,
To see at loving her, I’m A Whiz!
