Dahon sa gabi Poem by Carmie Ortego

Apan unsa man ang dahon sa gabi
nga kanunay mutugot
nga mudalin-as ang lusok sa uwan
tungod nga dili kini makuptan?

Taro Leaf
(Carmie Ortego)
Everyone longs for love’s tense joys and red delights.
-Jane Kenyon, Thinking of Madame Bovary

But what of the taro leaf
That must always let
The raindrop slide
Because it cannot be held?
