Dance Poem by Erica Buxton

Dance

I feel it in my bones.
It flows through my veins.
Play me some music, and I'm off into a
whole other world.
Sometimes I get hurt, but I bear through the pain.
The moment I step on a stage, I'm a whole new person.
Twisting, dipping, turning, swaying, dropping,
Kicking, flying, spinning.
By myself or with a group.
I take that stage, and the rest is a blur.
