Dance Of Death Poem by Kiley Casanova

Dance Of Death

Rating: 5.0

Frolicking bones dance and dance and dance
And they sang and sang and sang
A joyous face they had
In the midst stood a cross
A smiling Christ there hang
Stunned at the scene with awe
Why all the joy
In such a sorrowful moment
The irony magnanimous
I asked a skeleton why the festivity
Please enlighten me Mr. Skeleton
Do you not see the darkness of death?
Yes we see, answered he.
Then why? ? , i asked..
He said, death is but a part of a circle
With life you are assured death
With death we are assured life...
