*** Dancing in Flowers ***

You're dancing in flowers this lover's fair
I'm stepping on clouds floating on air,
Swinging on stars dreaming on cue
Sliding down rainbows nearer to you,

You hide behind daisies with buttercup class
Still peeking the locks of a golden haired lass,
A bunny falls back as you quickly dance by
As I float down from the super blue sky.

Ah, I see you soft an' so still in a beautiful pose
Smiling hiding in the folds of a rose,
For a kiss indeed I miss thorns so scary,
Inside the rose it's all in a day's work for the love
......................................... ....................
of a fairy.

Wonderful poem. It takes me to another world where there is magic and wonder. And the sweetness of love, great. (Report) Reply

A very nice lilting poem. So daintily put in details that it
makes me feel as if I was just a little girl singing the song
ring-around-the rosy pockets full of posies. Beautifully

Dancing In Flowers At A Lover’s Fair

ever since all Ken's dancing on ship cruises
every time you mention dancing I have visions
of legendary Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers
I see them dance floral scenes among flowers

This is such a lovely piece, it should have a flurry of commentary, but must content itself with my stamp of approval. First verse is legendary classy on the graduated cylinder of class. (Report) Reply

I want you to know

of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
