Dancing On A Star Poem by Violet Carson

Dancing On A Star

They smile down
Watching us
Seeing how we live
They know our secrets
They know our lives
When we’re born
When we die
When we love
When we fall
How we scream
How we call
They know our minds
Our thoughts, our lies
They see it all
Above our fate
Wouldn’t it
Be great
To be
Above it all?
Wouldn’t it be grand
Up there
Seeing all the land?
Sometimes I wish
To join them
I can almost
Hear them call
And though it’s far
So high above
One day I’ll go
I’ll have it all
And one day
You’ll see me there
Dancing on a star
