Dancing The The Devil Poem by Ashley Dowdy (Forbus)

Dancing The The Devil

Dancing in circles with the Devil
He threw a wicked demon inside of me
I lost the real me, she decided to cower and flee
Playing on the wrong side of the fence
My mother arned me of this
Don't play with Devil, dear
Only fear the Lord
But I did not listen
The Devil plays mean tricks
He does not play fair
Now I say no more
I am trying to climb that treacherous fence
Exhausted from being lukewarm
Screaming
Lord! Forgive me
Cleanse me
Save me!
Please have mercy on me
Be one with me again
Please Lord
Forever and Ever
Amen
