Dandelion Poem by Lacii Taylor

Dandelion

Your soft petals caress my face,
Taking me to this special place.
Like a garden of my mind,
A place no one else can find.
You are there, you're the rose,
Through the thorns your beauty shows.
I hide from all of them, they can't see me,
You're everything I could never be.
You're on the inside,
I'm way out here.
I'm scared,
I try not to shudder with fear.
I, the dandelion.
Merely a weed.
Wanting to fly, feeling the need.
I want to be with you,
But I don; 't know how.
For weeds in the rose garden,
They won't allow..
