Dangerous Poem by Jono Plunkett

Dangerous

You are a star in orbit with every planet
You are alone, independent, bright and beautiful.
You are a system, light years away yet I will always try.
Your beauty never matched yet forever shared.

You smile and laugh at all the broken stars
plunging through the heavens.
There is a hole in the sky,
that is where I died.
I saw the light that blinded me
and I wandered for eternity
searching for your love.

They look to the heavens and worship me
I am an oedipus punished for love.
We are together in the high
and separated by vast nothingness.
