Daring Eyes Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Daring Eyes

Dark is not dark
If you keep your eyes open
And keep them neat and keen
When the Sun all- penetrating sets
And shadows thicken and widen and draw the curtain
Overall beauteous, light-sodden
Glories sung about, a dawn freshens
In the sky with the mounting of stars
Sometimes together with the Moon, stirring notes
Ecstatic, extra-sweet, incredibly rich in love-laden hearts
Of course, day can be lovely, perhaps, night lovelier
And even if stars and the Moon bid adieu
And darkness holds its reign relentless
Daring eyes of love-lit souls see through the gloom impenetrable
