Dark Secret Poem by Ciara Kaai

Dark Secret

Suffocating in my skin
I can’t tell anyone
Passing it off
Only way to get rid of it
But how can I live
If I do that
Knowing what I’ve done
Passing this burden
On to someone else
Watching them suffer
The way I did
The way I do
I won’t do that
So I’ll keep it
Locked inside
I won’t say a thing
So that if someone else has to suffer
It won’t be by me.
