Dark Song Poem by KyawZwar Myint

Dark Song

Ho! The darkness has come.

How ecstatic was the taste of blood,
The mortal drop for immortality
Flaming an unquenchable lust.

Lost was the compassion long
To flinch for the fainting eyes at their last trice.
Forgotten was my once mortal self in time
To feel the compassion for the ages alike.
Discarded was the virtue in nights
To doubt the conscience (of) my way of life.

Here's the night
As the same in past, present and beyond
Knowing not the mercy nor ‘motions
In my eternal denounce to Aurora
So do I roam
The lustrous lands ‘neath the starry dome.
