Dark Territory: The Statue Poem by Engin Kavrak

Dark Territory: The Statue

I melt the horizon into a tiny vial
As I dial the numbers in haste
To jump into an incoming wire
Of a memory and reality paste
An infidel as a shadow reappear
Of a seed of time to divide like a spear
Many visions twist to reshape a domain
Of that so many stories are written
And a dive into one such claim
So many misery and thorn hidden
Of being lost and drown in the ocean
From the ever shining gleam of history
I seek you out in each step I take
As thorns leak out my utmost misery
But as the time in such bliss of memory
As it leaks it freaks and the gleam I flip
I stumble on a desert by a scorpion sting
A sudden appear of the Pond of Whisper
Before she begins to ask her questions
In haste I lean and take a drink
And she asked the truth of which that I seek
I stayed low and a paint I draw
Of which truth I could express
I could not know I was suppressed
Of which shadows' domains were written
Across the walls of such planes
As my will in minutes and seconds drained
Of that my destination was not clear
I began to fade out into an utmost fear
The sharp edges of the heavy burden of light
Anchored my love and passion in time
As I was becoming the piece of such story
I was begging it was written in such glory
The tattered ages of lost echoes
As the morning and the evening divide close
As I seek the sole sanity in the divine
I was begging I was out of any crime
The air gone sipped into a choir
Of such melody gleamed in noir dreamed
Of such reason escaped me into a soil
Transmuted into a clay and beamed
Into a knitting petrification
Into an eternal consolidation
By the whisper of the pond I reside
Of the reason that I was sentenced
To commit an unknown crime
Of such questions written
Asked by the pond echoes in the halls
By the walls from so many souls
Through the holes...
