Dashalogue - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Dashalogue - Lincoln Park Zoo

I am a klipspringer named Dash,
On the job at Lincoln Park Zoo,
To talk to humans - not to trash,
But remind what they need to do.
In Africa where I am from,
Humans killed almost all of us,
For our fur, just to make some
Cushion stuffing - so why the fuss?
Well humans have the means and ways
To stuff their stuff with non life stuff.
Humans have got their plastic craze
To plop their bottoms on soft fluff.

Humans - spare me as stuffing stock,
And no more of this pillow talk.
