Daughter Of My Mother Poem by Pen Anthony

Daughter Of My Mother

Dear sister
Once more i write to you
I know you've added a few years
Slowly morphing into a woman
So it's only right i tell you this

You're a woman to me the world and the mirror
But to mother you're her little girl
She may treat you as such
Don't contest her

Sister
This is bitter
We men are beasts
Be suspicious of us
Until we give you a reason not to be

Dear sister
The world is still as cruel
As i painted it in my last poem
Nothing has changed
So dear love, shine your eyeea.
