David And Goliath (Fun Poem 178) Poem by David Harris

David And Goliath (Fun Poem 178)

The phone rang earlier
and a sweat sexy voice
asked to speak to David.
I explained she had called
the Deadwood Church Rectory
and I was Rev. Mr Black.
I told her that David and Goliath
were having a snowball fight
in the back garden.
The score at the moment was
David one and Goliath four.
It seems the snowballs kept falling out
of David's sling shot and he had only hit Goliath once
and he was being pounded by Goliath.
David loaded up his sling shot with his final snowball.
As he swung his arm around he fell
back into the snow
giving yet another victory to Goliath.
