Dawn Poem by Lawrence Hiung

Dawn

Rating: 5.0

Life began at dawn,
When dewdrops on trees formed,
Before the mighty sun rises,
Reigned the hush and serene silence,
Gently broken by sweet melodies,
Of the chirping birds and insects.

A sense of exhilaration enveloped,
And spirits soared sky high,
With the break of a new day,
Running barefooted on the soft wet grass,
Is a pleasure few ever had,
Amidst the tall green trees.

Strolling by the seashore,
With the sound of gentle lapping waves,
Sweet as music to the ears,
And the gentle breeze whistling by,
Threading through the hair with its tender touch,
It's a beautiful world to be in.
