Day By Day, I'm Getting Over You Poem by Colin Coplin

Day By Day, I'm Getting Over You

Walked a beaten path, babe, it led me to your door
I just turned away, you through me out before

Day by day, I'm getting over you
Day by day, it's the least I can do

Hitch hiked on a bus, it took me to the other side
I caught a slow train back, four women came for the ride

Day by day, I'm getting over you
Day by day, it's the best that I can do

Faith, Hope and Charity, they all came to accompany me
Faith, Hope and Charity and their mother, Prosperity

Day by day, I'm getting over you
Day by day, it's the best I can do

Walked a beaten path, babe, it led me to your door
I just turned away, you through me out before

Day by day, I'm getting over you
Day by day, it's the best that I can do

I hitch hiked on a bus, it took me to the other side
I caught a slow train back, four women came for the ride

Day by day, I'm getting over you
Day by day, it's the best that I can do
Day by day, I'm getting over you
Day by day, it's the best that I can do
