Ten Minutes Poem by Colin Coplin

Ten Minutes

Rating: 3.8

It was ten minutes before the war
The quietest thing you ever saw
Ten minutes before the war
And everything was looking good

It was ten minutes during the war
The sickest thing you ever saw
Ten minutes during the war
And everything was dying fast

It was ten minutes after the war
The emptiest thing you ever saw
Ten minutes after the war
And there was nothing left

Break

Yes, war, has made us who we are
But we are so much better
Yes, we could be so much more

They're praying for peace in Moscow, Shanghai, Mecca, London and Sydney
They're praying for peace in New York, Jerusalem, Kolkata, Rio, Nairobi
All four corners of the world, praying for peace on Earth
Yes, they're praying for peace, it's time to hear them
Time to start anew, as one

Life after people
What's life after people
Life after people
Do you really want to know?
