Day Of Darkness By Felix Dublin

Darkness overcomes me as I close my eyes,
Not being able to see the motion of time,
Finding my way deep inside my thoughts,
In a moments pass of silence my heart beats,
To the cadence of my watch,
Seconds turn into minutes,
Minutes turn into hours,
Roaming the void of my imagination,
Creation begins to take life,
Unaware of my surroundings,
I awake with a hazy sight,
Not sure where I am,
But all I know is that I'm alive,
Looking to the sky,
Suddenly I begin to take flight,
Overland I see myself standing,
I see my soul, radiate with light,
Reaching for myself,
Though I cannot escape being pulled away,
Next thing I know everything fades away,
And I open my eyes,
The sun shines through my window pain,
Thankful for the new God breathed day.
