Daybreak

let me see the fire
mirrored in your eyes
as every sunset
burns the horizon
consuming the day
as it goes away
and on each nightfall
lets fall together
into the night sky
with your hand in mine
while we dream about
the sun coming out
so give me your heart
and I promise you
that by tomorrow
as daybreak ensues
just darkness will break
with your heart awake
