Days Without You Poem by Edwina Reizer

Days Without You

Rating: 4.0

Days without you that come along
are days that are too damned long.
They move too slow.
I hear every tick.
The clock is no friend.
Why can't it tick quick?

Days without you make me afraid
that these days might last forever.
That thought is carried in my heart.
It's like a prying lever.

Can it lift this heavy weight I feel?
Only when you return.
Just the thought of seeing you again
are the days for which I yearn.
