Dead But Never Buried Poem by T.J. Daniels

Dead But Never Buried

I steeled myself
to the coldness of your arms.

I turned my back
to the harshness of your heart.

In other times
you were warm
carefree
so full of life.

But you died many years
before they laid you in the ground
without a sound.

You died many years ago
but were never in the ground.
