Dead Garden Poem by ary bolanos

Dead Garden

You know what happens when you water a dead garden?
You get mud.
You know what happens when you get mud?
You get dirty.
You know what happens when you get dirty?
You get seeds.
You know what happens when you get seeds?
You get water.
You know what happens when you get water?
You get roots.
You know what happens when you get roots?
A new garden.

Flowers and weeds, Flowers and weeds, Flowers and weeds
It's still your garden.

Don't let it die.
Or, you'll get dirty.
