Deadbeat Dad Poem by charlene louisedenner

Deadbeat Dad

Deadbeat dad
always in newspaper ads
all he's gained is a writing pad
no love from his mother
barely knows his daughter
he was raised proper
his life's built around coppers
a man with no freedom
the devil's walking stick appears
in the shadows of his misty fears
his life flashes by him
that's when he realized his got no
time left in him
