Deadly Fiend Poem by Jayatissa K. Liyanage

Deadly Fiend

Rating: 5.0

Woke up to the rising sun, a bit late
knowing, no office to report
No way to go to the town
'Cos its banned to go out for any reason

In the kitchen, its not what I like to eat
for, no way to go to superstores
Not feel like getting in to a formal dress
when nobody, I am sure will see me

Do not intend to watch the TV either
as it covers only what is most awful
Whole surrounding seems lifeless
with nothing moving, nothing heard

No kids in grounds,
No vendors on pavement
No autos on the road
No shops opened for business

Three fourths of the world
is going through an apocalypse
under the arm of a microscopic goon
World fights against a mere RNA lump

A heart touching inscription has been made on epidemic desease caused by Corona virus. How the three fourth people of the world are going through an apocalypse is well executed. Thank you sir for sharing this beautiful poem.
