Dealt Deaths Deed Poem by Barry MacCourt

Dealt Deaths Deed

Standing still, I stumbled senselessly over the hill of my will.
Irrational emotion eradicated my brains ocean.
Thrilling chills emanate through my quill, emancipating my bill.

Noticing a notion prompting promotional devotion.
Our flawless laws fair laughably compared to natures paws.
Robust rotation among rounds of relentless probation.

Perceive a claw; perfectly raw, heretic-ally terrific awe.
Cruel creations of the mind send the blind to a crematorium grind.
Drawing out the beast to gnaw on the yeast-less feast with his jaw.

My cells maligned; ceaselessly redesigning chemical binds.
This pestilent disease disregards my dismal heeds to leave me the keys.
Thoughts are defined, memories aligned, distraught at the find!

An acceptant breeze fills with ease my temples needs overseas.
Control of my tower coughs forth the courage of my dours' power.
Weak at the knees...muscles seize...fading wheeze...Deaths squeeze.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
We all think of death every so often, sometimes it is depressing. I have tried to express my thoughts on the struggle Cancer generates through poetry in a beautiful way. I hope this poem achieves such. My thoughts go out those in my family and worldwide who are facing this battle at the moment.
