Dear Chutki Poem by Shreya Pasari

Dear Chutki

Rating: 5.0

Dear Chutki,
People think we are twins, but we always disagree.
We're so different, we always say.
You're the tea-addict, while I crave coffee.
You're the sport-person, while I'm the book-worm.
You love chick-flicks, while I like sci-fi.
You like studs, while I love danglers.
You're the one with curious questions, while I'm the keen observer.
You're the comic, while I'm the grumpy.
You're the introvert, while I'm the ambivert.
But then we grew up.
From maggi-fights to our ginger tea and milk coffee sessions.
From disliking boys to gossiping about our crushes.
From arguing over toys to sharing our wardrobe.
From hating each other's playlists to sharing our favourites.
From late-night screaming matches to hushed conversations.
From you treating me as your dictionary to me giving you book suggestions.
From swearing our hatred for one-another to always being there for each other.
From sisters to friends for life.
I maybe the elder one but you were always the mature one,
For you're my pillar when things get tough.
Probably the only person on this earth who knows the real me is you.
And maybe I'm the only who knows you like no other too.
I still don't think we're twins,
But we are that complementary parts of each other
Without which we would be incomplete.
Love,
Brishtee.

Probably the only person on this earth who knows the real me is you. And maybe I'm the only who knows you like no other too. I still don't think we're twins, But we are that complementary parts of each other Without which we would be incomplete Wow a beautiful knitted poem of inner struggle between twins. Being a father of twins I could enjoy this poem so much. You have revealed the secret of twins so well. 10+++++ Subhas
