Dear Mother Poem by Djanna Jaffar

Dear Mother

Rating: 5.0

Dear Mother,

I can only thank you
for putting food in my mouth,
for giving me shelter,
for providing me education
and for giving me my life.

But i can never thank you
for worrying about me,
caring for me,
supporting me
or showing me your undying love,

because mother, you never did.

As your child,
I thank you for that,
As your daughter,
I need more than that.

Dear Mother,

You gave me my basic needs,
but never what I really need,
your affection.

But i can never thank you for worrying about me, caring for me, supporting me or showing me your undying love, Although mothers at times fail to provide all that we need, RT they give whatever they can. So they are always to be thanked. Thanks for the sharing of the lovely poem.10 for it. Subhas
