Dear You Poem by Uma Pochampalli Goparaju

Dear You

Dear you

The waves it created have not subsided
the huge turmoil the meteorite caused
Till this day it keeps touching the core
With thunderous pull, land moves ashore

Great many times have passed till now
I for one, am still lying in the lurch
everyone has left the land somehow
Figuring out I am, starting the clutch

Out of the blue you appear at a distance
For a moment eyes stare in disbelief
Trying to figure out the picture where you left
Heart pounding with some unknown pains

Aching pains that were felt rise up from the memories
Yearning to be close to you, my mind can't bear to part
Across the oceans we were once now again distant
May be it will be many lives before we share a destiny
