Death Comes To Everyone Poem by Practicing Poetess

Death Comes To Everyone

Rating: 5.0

The wealthy cannot bribe it away,
Because Death, like Life, is here to stay.
The poor may welcome its release
From a life of troubles to eternal peace.
You have an older loved one you think will never die,
You turn around one day, they're gone- - in the blink of an eye.
You don't know when your time will come,
So live life fully, while you can, until your life is done.

Thank you for appreciating, Becca- - not sure this one deserves the ebullient praise, though- - this is not one of my better poems. But glad that you liked it!
