Death! O Death Poem by Hebert Logerie

Death! O Death

Death! O Death, you suffocated my friend
Death, you killed myriad of people on this land
Yesteryear, you killed my ancestors
Death! Oh Murderer, very early this morning
You killed my good friend. Now, I am mourning
Why? Why are you such a devious devil of disasters?
Death, that's a warning, I won't go without a fight
I will fight you to death, I won't leave light
Without making a scene. I will fight for my rights
I don't know if I'll be able to defeat or beat you
But I will give my best shots: a few lefts or rights
I will defy you, because you're an invincible killer
An outlandish murderer. And I'm a darn fighter
Death! O Death, nobody loves you. Death
Oh Death, if you ever die, you won't get a wreath
Death! O Death, even if I'm sad and out of breath
I'm willing to fight you daily. I have a serious beef
With you. That's no joke. Death, you are a murderer
I want justice. I pray God to send us a powerful Savior
Death! O Death, you suffocated my good friend
I want to fight, I want to fight dying. I'm making a stand.

A fine poem. Imaginative and full of fight.
