Death O You Monolith Poem by Oleh Wolansky

Death O You Monolith

Rating: 5.0

Death o you monolith of understanding give me strength and fortitude
To pass through the gates of solace
On this earth as a temporary visitor a transient shadow
I lost my soul my precious soul my aide to life the raison d'etre
There is no way I can go back now
O life you have killed me
Spare me from this cold barren wasteland
May I traverse the higher realms if I return I may never live again
This may be the last time
Such a young soul too so full of promise exiting existence for enlightenment
I don't know if I can make it back
Even for the purest draught of love
It was too much this time I outdid myself
I let them in too deep
I should've protected myself
I leave myself wide open
To all experiences
And my fate is sealed
O solitude o sleepless nights and my dying body
You don't care if I die
The world shall feel my tears when I come back as pure spirit

It is my decision amongst others

We have the power

We shall never allow this to happen again
The earth
Hurricanes are coming
It is the age

LIFE YOU HAVE KILLED ME/ SPARE ME FROM THIS COLD BARREN WASTELAND/... HURRICANES ARE COMING/ IT IS THE AGE/// Scrolling down from your lines, I came to a political attack ad on a pop-up screen, and it seemed like fitting commentary on your poem.
