Death's Doorstep Poem by Artemis Zarchae

Death's Doorstep

When I stand at Death's Doorstep
After a long and lonely walk
Will life leave me of no proof
Of the horrors and terrors I have scoffed?
Will you remember me?
Will I remember you?
Will you leave me as lonely
As I have never left you?
Or will you be beside me there
Wandering along the wonding path?
When the sife is finally sharpened
Will you be first?
Or will you be last?
Will your blood shed?
Or will mine fall?
Will we have hearts then?
Or have we really lost it all?
