Decisions Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Decisions

My Future is not certain,
The Times ahead seem bleak,
I'll have to make decisions,
Within this coming week.

My Capital is depleted,
On Bills, my money's gone,
Prospects of more work diminish,
As I do plod along.

Is there work on the horizon,
As I approach Sixty-Three,
For an out of work Accountant,
Who writes poetry for thee?

I'm fed up with my Vocation,
Mailshots bring no success,
But it's too late to change now,
And by HIM I know I'm blessed.

Can I knuckle down to routine?
Can I work from nine to five?
I've been my own boss till now,
But I'll change to survive.
