Decisions Decisions Poem by Katherine Perry

Decisions Decisions

Decisions decisions what must we do
For the links to our identity
Are links that connect me and you

Our decisions whether good or bad
Will build on our character
Soon we become predictable like some passing fad
Only to do all over again thereafter

Sometimes we base our decisions on what we see
And some will base their decisions on what they would like to be

But we do have a future
And each decision you make
Will influence your behavior
Taking a risk you alone will have to take

What makes a decision right or wrong
What makes a decision mine
If i ask for help, can i still call it my song
Or will the credit go to somebody else in time

Why does the night bring out deeper emotions in me
And why do i question it in the morning
Or does the day just make it easier to see
All the signs and all the warnings

The night is dark
And we literally cannot see
But does that make us blind
To what we want to be

How many times have you said 'Me too'
Just to agree with someone else's truth
How many times have you said 'I know'
To fit in with opinions of a social show

How many times have you said 'Yes'
Just to spare someone's feelings
How many times have you said 'No'
When it is yes your really meaning!
