my prayer for a better day
as i go through my days
and at night dream dreams

my hope for peace
as i offer up a silent prayer
and under my breath i murmur

as i give my heart
and piece back the shatters given back

my quest for wisdom
as i seek that which can be made true
and accept that which is already so

the strength of willpower, to
deny futile pursuits which tire the soul
to accept that morning will bring a treasure
in form of the satisfaction and realisation
that sunrise will deliver

you who are everyone
you who wakes and toils
and hopes for a better day
you who is no one
who sleeps and rests
but awakes still weary and stressed
you who is me by a different name
you who could be me for all the kindness you share
