Deeper Disguise Poem by Chris Leermakers

Deeper Disguise

Have you ever heard
of the strange,
but beautiful' one?
it can be a thriller
even a sanity killer
you don't know
things I have seen
anything that I have done
even in your dreams
or ever really witnessed
some of the beautiful people
treating you with contempt

It's such a bore
another eyesore
yeah, they're quite small
don't you see them writing
it's nothing but lies
on your wall?

practicing with such delights
we dance on the cutting edge
for here there are
so many lights
I will try and set a pledge
this world so fake
so unreal
real truth is what we need
we'll even try and steal it
then reveal it
'cause we are
a different breed

Try Love sweet one
or something
different & unique
did you just
play with my fire?
the world today
as we know it
has turned many into a liar
turned inside out
maybe I will just shout
what do you admire?
as I see through
your true desire

The birds making enchanting calls
sometimes flying
into my window
this fine morning
help them
to regain consciousness
my life never boring
my night is always creative
a new day always calling
Summer, Spring
and autumn to
even in the winter
I'll sing, dance
and drink with you
let's stay
right in this glamour
Make the fine
the sweet,
sweet wine
even within
any of the clamour,
doesn't really matter

Time to rest
and soon digest
our personal tests
sooner or later
we all can contest
so pick one, take one
even take on them all
but hey, watch out
for the false phone calls
remember to investigate
Is it a 'beautiful' one
in a deeper disguise...?
will you even realize
or never
recognize…......?
