Defying Time Poem by Arjun Mangol

Defying Time

'Tears don't fall, I have no more to spare,
Steep'd though in sorrow may I be
Advance through this darkness I will..'
Fret not, young maiden, for these tears will but fall, whence,
they shall be washed away....by the waves of Time
that break upon these shores of Life.
Sandcastles we shall build, moats we shall dig,
turrets and towers we shall make till at last;
Time, in her endless mirth claims it for her own.
Life seems to be all but a painting on the sand..
but so it is not for our illustrious past ones
So carve your life deep in the bed of Time,
as it will but be visible, and the message clear
howsoever weatherd and worn it may be.
Defy Time, and you will find her among the worthiest of your friends.
'Sit Vis Vobiscum'
