DELHI’S HEAT WAVE!
Jack and Jill climbed up Mussorie’s hill
To escape Delhi’s heat with laughter!
While Jill stayed on, Jack came down,
To take care of his many business
ventures!
But smitten by sunstroke Jack soon croaked!
Jill’s heart broke, but to escape a heatstroke,
She stayed on with those hill folks!
Then as ordained by fate, she soon found a
new mate,
And was happily re-married thereafter!
By writing in a lighter vein I cannot wish
away, -
Delhi’s miserable heat wave, which is
44 degrees as on date!
The El Nino* effect has heated the waters
over the Pacific,
And to be more specific, has kept our
monsoon at bay!
And also hampered the precious moisture
feed!
Making the forecast of a drought, rather
ominous and complete!

(*News paper reports on ‘El Nino effect’!)
Nandi saab. Jack and Jill skillfully used to picturise the horrible summer at Delhi. Very nice poem. Kudos.
