Delilah's Laps Poem by Olaniyi Ololade Moses

Delilah's Laps

I've seen a kingdom fell,
Crown totter in silence,
Power meander in darkness,
On the laps of Delilah.

I've seen a warrior vanquished,
Fame stumble in shame,
Nations forgot his name,
On the laps of Delilah.

I've seen a sage fooled,
Wisdom varnished away,
Mere flaw hunts his way,
On the laps of Delilah.

Dealth dwells in her eyes,
Shame dwells in her skin,
Deceiption is her kin,
There's peril on her laps.
