Delusion Poem by Makoto Ruka

Delusion

the lady consumes every candy that comes to her way,
never realising that she herself was being devoured, day by day.
sometimes she remains, sometimes she breaks.
did she know, she was living a fake?
many tell her, she was like a toddler.
so many questions left unanswered, she pondered.
when she realises what that was harming her,
it would be too late, for she has sunk further.
