Democracy In My Fatherland Poem by Remilekun Abifarin

Democracy In My Fatherland

Will the beautiful ones
Be born for once
The ugly ones have refused to die
And no one can tell why
Our father land is in trouble
And no thanks to the corrupt leaders
The masses would always grumble
Until someone saves this country of ours.

We keep singing democracy
Even when it has gone crazy
Our elections are neither free nor fair
So everybody votes in fear
Who will save our democracy
Before we all go crazy.
