Denial Kept Fed Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Denial Kept Fed

Denial kept fed.
In one's mind can infest it.
With a detachment,
No longer that accepts reality.
Or any aspects of it to consider,
The process that makes...
Thinking to connect,
Truth with the use that includes...
Common sense.
And this to fear,
Eventually diminishes consciousness.

Denial kept fed,
Produces unnecessary conflicts.
And arguments to start them wanted,
By those wishing to defend and protect...
A senseless pettiness to project on others.
Done for reasons they can not explain.
Or self exam why their insecurities,
Have been allowed to remain...
Sustained to enjoy,
The act of confusion.
Just to gain the attention to them given.
