Desert Sculptures Poem by Kara Johnstad

Desert Sculptures

Earth red and sun glows
We´re searching for real gold
I know holding you´re thoughts
Knowing you´re with me

Pressing of warm hands
The texture of hot sand
I laugh holding your smile
Knowing you´re with me

Sunny sunny smile bring to me
The warmth for cool desert nights
Shadows of the landscape we lie
Entangled in pure delight
Softly singing to stars
Caressing each breath as we fall
Searching for gold
Sculpting the sand into patterns
Feeling the new warmth of morning
