Desire Poem by Deep Mukherjee

Desire

Rating: 5.0

Lure, linger, loiter
So similar they are
Tears and the night;
Senses obscured into surveillance
Slowly, silently
Amid the chirping of birds
In the visions of lonely night;
What if I write you a poem again
My eyes smile softly with tears
Would you stop the time
Craving for rain
To solace the world!
Would you break into tears
Shattering the promises!
Would you look up in the sky
To crave for light!
Would you define love
To the sea beneath
To the stars above!
Desires: they whisper
Like a breeze used to blow far
Would you request her to blow again
To ease out my world of pain! !
