Desire Poem by Javier Stafford

Desire

Rating: 5.0

What is your desire,
Are you willing to inspire,
To grow like a buring fire,
Never to expire.

But what if you are to fail,
And you do not prevail.
Are you to bite your old nails,
As you grow ever so pale?

And yet, you may succeed,
Fulfilling all your needs.
Never to secede,
From life, as you lead

So what is your desire,
Your motivation to go higher,
Would you risk it all to aspire,
or simply rot, and grow tire.
